We need your help to replenish our shelves

27th April 2023

We are so grateful for the generosity of our neighbours throughout Arfon. Donations from the community allow us to serve those in crisis.

In the past year, we have distributed over 43,000 kg of food to over 4500 people throughout Arfon, 40% of whom are children. Unfortunately these numbers are continuing to rise. With the food and energy prices soaring, the cost of living crisis is hitting everyone. Not only are we seeing more people in need of emergency food parcels, we are also seeing fewer donations coming in. We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry, and with your help we can make sure that doesn’t happen.

We are in need of donations more than ever. Here’s some ways you can help:

  • Add extra items to your shopping, making note of those we need most
  • Host a food drive at your office, church, school or in your community
  • Organise a fundraising event to help us purchase urgently needed items

We are currently in need of the following items:

  • Tinned chicken in white sauce
  • Tinned meatballs
  • Tinned mince
  • Tinned fish
  • Tinned fruit
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Cereal
  • UHC Milk
  • Sugar
  • Instant Coffee
  • Squash

Donations can be dropped off at the foodbank on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am and 2pm, or at any of the donation points listed here. If you have any questions please email the foodbank at [email protected]
